SOE Alumni Update: NCATE Visit: March 22-25, 2009

SOE will have a visit from the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) Board of Examiners from March 22-25, 2009.

SOE'S vision is aspirational. It emphasizes that teacher candidates emerge as knowledgeable scholars who are able to effectively communicate the knowledge they gain from general education, foundations, and specialty courses to students in the P-12 schools. Candidates also will become reflective decision makers who are accountable for the learning of all students. The School of Education prepares candidates who are advocates for all learners, as outlined in our Conceptual Framework.

SOE continues to work hard to provide quality education and to ensure that its assessment system is an effective one that positively impacts student learning. We wish our School of Education the best of luck during its NCATE visit! We are confident that all your hard work will pay off!
